Photographs of Tasaday at the Caves in 1999

Photos taken by Professor Robin Hemley (Western Washington University) in August 1999 during his second field trip to the Tasaday area.

The Tasaday people apparently did not know until 1999 that the American Anthropological Association had in 1992 published a book about them and their traumatic encounter with the modern world in 1972. Here they are seen looking at photographs in Hemley's copy of that book taken of them many years ago.
