Born 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
Married to Sara in 1984. Four children, ages 5-14.

Educated at St Paul Academy/Summit
School (1976-1980). Trained in theatrical arts at the
Children’s
Theatre Company (1975-1977). BA in Liberal Arts (in Mathematics
and in Music of the Medieval and Renaissance Era) from St
Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota (1980-1984).
Recently completed an MA in Typeface Design at the University
of Reading, England.
Happily serving since 1991 as Type Designer with SIL
International.
