Institute for the Development of Language & Translation in Africa (i-DELTA)
The SIL i-DELTA course of study is for those who want to describe their language and find appropriate ways to develop the language through education, literature or the arts (music, drama, etc.). There will also be a course of study for those working in Bible translation and related fields
The primary language of instruction for this program is English.Courses in this program can be taken apart from the degree.
This program prepares students to begin functioning in the following role(s) in language work:
- Anthropology Researcher
- Language Surveyor
- Linguistics Specialist
- Literacy Specialist
- Mother Tongue Translator
- Scripture Use Worker
- BTh through SATS
