A Historical Comparative Look at Four Mondé Languages

Author  Anonby, Stan
Abstract  The received wisdom is that Gavião, Cinta Larga, and Zoró are very closely related. Most reseachers consider Zoró and Gavião to be the same language. Surui is seen as a quite divergent member of the group. However, the comparative method seems to indicate Zoró is most similar to Surui. The most divergent language appears to be Gavião.
