Cassava: an annotated bibliography

Cassava is the staple food of approximately 400 million people in the tropics. It can probably boast of being the world's cheapest source of food calories. In Asia, cassava is known as a poor man's crop with rice being the starch of choice. This bibliography contains three sections: author/title, geographical area, and topic. Annotations are found in the author/title sections. Research is needed on the marketing potential of cassava and on whether or not technological advances in cassava production could have an impact on human consumption, especially in the poorer, rural areas of the world.
