| Abstract | The heart of this paper is a set of six maps, which together present a picture of the location of Indonesian Bajau communities throughout Sulawesi—the first truly new update since the language map of Adriani and Kruyt (1914). Instead of the roughly dozen locations which these authors presented, we can say that at present the Bajau live in more than one hundred fifty locations across Sulawesi. In order to develop this picture, we gleaned information from a number of other sources, most of which treated the Bajau only tangentially.
