| Abstract | This paper presents the results of sociolinguistic research conducted among the Inghiloi people living in northwestern Azerbaijan. Inghiloi is a dialect of Georgian spoken in Azerbaijan. The goals of the research were to investigate patterns of proficiency and language use in the Inghiloi language in the Inghiloi community. Special attention was paid to developing a typology of individuals and families based on patterns of proficiency and language use. Interviews and questionnaires were employed. |
