| Abstract | This paper documents a sociolinguistic survey of the Duka people, carried out in 1991 and 1992. The purpose of this survey was to assess the present linguistic and sociolinguistic situation among the Duka people. The assessment was intended to determine whether there is need for literature in the Duka language, to characterize a prospective language program, and to rate the priority of a Duka language program. This survey contains word lists for Rijau, Darangi, Tungan Bunu, Iri, Dukku, and Giro. |
