Stevick 1989

Stevick, Earl W. 1989. Success with foreign languages: Seven who achieved it and what worked for them. London: Prentice Hall. 151pp.

Case studies and interviews of seven successful language learners, the techniques and strategies that worked for them, and conclusions to be drawn from them about the language learning process and what makes good language learners.

Very readable, interesting for the learners' very different ideas of what is a "natural" way to learn a language. Also interesting for Stevick's comments and conclusions.
