Installation error
Run-time error ‘75' message during installation
Problem: During the Shoebox installation from the SIL Language Software 1.0 CD-ROM, you may encounter “Path/File access error” or “Run-time error '75'.”
Explanation: Some anti-virus or firewall software may interfere with the installer when it tries to find \doc\Shoebox.pdf in the system temporary folder. If it does not find the file, it tries to create the folder. However, if the folder is already there, it causes this error.
Solution
- Disable your anti-virus software and firewall before installation.
- Try the installation again. If the same error occurs, delete the “doc” folder from the system temporary folder:
